[ there's a nod and he's leading haru onto one of the trains, walking through the foggy dream-like clouds and onto the reflective water-y surface. onto the train and WHEEE....
when it stops and the doors open, he nudges haru's shoulder a little to let him know this is their stop. exiting the train, the scent of sea and salt is probably immediately obvious as they step onto the boardwalk of bikini bottom. ]
Welcome to Bikini Bottom. [ still funny. ] I spend a lot of time out here.
[ this is so much nicer than... air transit. who would've thought heaven is nice. of course, their destination is even better—while the airport is surprisingly stacked with water features, it's still a bit artificial.
this is a proper boardwalk, and the ocean. of course his emotions are delight and relief, because he is a fish. ]

[ he is a fish!! let him have something nice before this godawful thursday of this week! anyway this is about what he thought and it means jonas laughs and begins to walk to lead him on a little tour. mostly, walking down the boardwalk to head for the sand, but haru can clearly see the food shops and the boardwalk itself and the kisoks selling random trinkets. ]
Sometimes I don't, I'll be honest. [ ... ] It's not much, but this beach has some of the best sunrises and sunsets, too. I think I like those best.
[ he's biased, but also, it's true. there's something very magical to the sun rising and falling over the water, where it's reflects and absorbs all that light and color. ]
It helps motivate me go running, to watch the day begin and end with the ocean. You should come along sometime.
Sometimes I'd get woken up at 4am to drive to some of the nearby beaches to beat the sun. It was usually still dark and it was annoying sometimes, but always worth it. [ he does not mention who was with him, figuring haru would just figure that out. but there's a faint ping of surprise and a little blip of gratitude for being thought of to begin with. even if it's for exercise. ]
I'm probably not anywhere near as athletic as you are, but if you don't mind that? Yeah, I'll come with. Break up the day a little, right?
