[ it's a stretch, but why else would there be messages about the erased maybe being hidden somewhere and from mysterious senders? ]

...Maybe. Aika didn't seem to believe the dead were conscious somewhere. Not the last time we spoke, anyway. So maybe it's... different reapers.

That was the other thing. Did you guys talk to the reapers about this? We weren't sure if we should.

Not yet, no. I usually touch base with them at the beginning of the week. I don't know if any of the others have, but I was gonna go see Ruby later anyway. I'm not sure if we should either if the whole thing is warning us off from talking about it in public. We don't know if our Reapers are, like, being monitored or anything. Do we?

Their bosses seem pretty hands-off. Considering all that we've asked them about already, anyway.

But I don't know. Maybe we should test the waters a little, before trying to ask.

That's what I was wondering myself. They've made it clear they can't really help us cheat or anything, so that could be it.
